Purchasing a Newspaper Subscription
Can I purchase a newspaper subscription as a gift to be delivered to someone else's address?
Yes.

If I currently subscribe to the newspaper publication, can I earn miles through the Mileage Plus Reader Miles program?
Unfortunately at this time, the Mileage Plus Reader Miles program is exclusively for new subscribers to a given publication. However, you will earn miles if you subscribe to a different publication through the Mileage Plus Reader Miles program.

I ordered newspapers over 4 weeks ago and still have not started receiving my subscription. What should I do?
Contact the newspaper service center at 866-230-1302 to review your account.

How long will it take for the miles to show up in my Mileage Plus account?
Please allow 6-8 weeks for the miles you have earned from the Mileage Plus Reader Miles program to show up in your Mileage Plus account. If for whatever reason t hey have not been deposited into your account after 8 weeks, please contact us at 866-230-1302 or email us at service@newspaper-miles.com

How can I get a Mileage Plus number?
Please visit the Mileage Plus homepage at united.com/joinmp or call 1-800-421-4655 to immediately join Mileage Plus and receive your account number. If you are already a member but have forgotten your Mileage Plus account number, you may call 1-800-421-4655 also.

If I order the same newspaper twice, will I receive 2 copies or 2 subscriptions?
No. Only one subscription per address will be delivered by the newspaper.

If I subscribe to more than one newspaper, how many confirmation e-mails will I receive?
You will receive 1 confirmation e-mail for each newspaper that was requested with the order.

Why do you need my e-mail address?
Your e-mail address is used to return a confirmation of your order.

Is the personal order information I provide confidential?
Yes. We strongly believe in the preservation of your privacy.
The information you provide is used solely to complete the newspaper order process and will not opt you into further United communications, be shared or be sold to another party. You will, however, receive confirmation e-mails as a result of your newspaper subscription.


Redeeming Miles for a Newspaper Subscription

Can I redeem my miles for a newspaper subscription as a gift to be delivered to someone else's address?
Yes, you may order newspaper subscriptions as a gift for someone else. In the Delivery Information section, enter the recipient's name and address. However, you should enter your own email address to receive the email confirmation of your order.

Is there a limit to the number of newspapers I may receive?
No. The number of newspapers you may receive depends on the balance in your Mileage Plus account.

How do I find out how many miles I have to redeem?
Click here to log in and view your account balance.

If I cancel my subscription, will I get my miles back?
No.

After I have ordered my newspaper subscriptions, how can I verify that the miles have been decremented from my account?
Your miles will be decremented immediately from your account. Click here to log in, view your account balance and track any recent activity.

May I order more than one newspaper in a single transaction?
No. Each order is transacted separately. You must have sufficient miles in your account to place each order.

You will be notified with an error message on the screen that the order has not been processed. Please double-check your Mileage Plus account number and attempt your order again. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact Mileage Plus customer service at 1-800-421-4655.
